I’m an ex-seafarer turned systems engineer, currently navigating the ever-evolving world of enterprise infrastructure — with a growing focus on VMware technologies, data center automation, disaster recovery, and resilient architectures built for long-term stability and scale.
After several years at sea, I made a sharp turn into tech — driven by a desire to understand how complex systems are built, scaled, and kept resilient. That curiosity still defines how I work today: hands-on, methodical, and always learning.
Professionally, I work with VMware, NetApp storage, and Veeam backups — building, maintaining, and improving virtualized environments. Lately, I’ve been diving deeper into VMware Cloud Foundation and Software-Defined Data Center concepts, both in theory and through homelab experimentation.
This blog is my public notepad — a place to share insights, document technical deep-dives, and connect with others who care about clean architecture, scalable infrastructure, and getting the details right.
If you’re navigating similar waters — whether you’re an engineer, architect, or just curious about virtualization — I hope you’ll find something useful here.
Why “Navigator”?
I learned how to navigate ships — now I navigate complexity.
The mindset carries over. Systems engineering is about pattern recognition, risk management, and course correction — just like life at sea. Only now, the storms are digital.
